Our history
A sisterhood anchored in faith and purpose.
The International Free and Accepted Modern Masons, Incorporated was organized in 1950 by Dr. William V. Banks. It was incorporated in August 1950 in Dover, Delaware.
Its purposes were designed to advance moral, financial, benevolent, and charitable leadership—hence the word Modern in its name. The organization is rooted in the Bible and Christian principles.
Today, IFAMM includes more than 3,500 lodges and chapters, with a presence in the United States and abroad.

IFAMM is committed to cultivating intellectual progress, character, responsibility, and service in young people. More than 3,500 youth and young adults participate through youth courts.
Across generations, members work to equip emerging leaders to live with purpose and contribute meaningfully in their homes, churches, and communities.
